Established 1994 in the heart of the Hunter Valley at East Maitland by Peter & Narelle Tulip along with children Erica, Kate and Dayle.  The Tulip’s interest in alpacas stemmed from a desire to diversify from their already busy hire business into a new exciting emerging farm industry.  So along with Narelle’s background in farming they ventured into the world of alpacas

Breeding both Huacaya & Suri they have obtained bloodlines from Australia, Peru and Bolivia.  The last importation from Peru arrived out of quarantine in October 2005 only adding to the high standard breeding program they run.
Since the Hunters breeding program has commence in the 90’s Hunter has gone onto being known not only throughout Australia but also world wide as one of the most outstanding Studs within Australia. 

With the continue need for improvement of the herd genetic base lines the Tulip’s continue to travel to Peru to select the best genetic lines available.
